Chilli prices rose by 0.59 per cent on Thursday at the National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) as a result of a rise in the export demand for the commodity in the midst of limited supply. At the NCDEX, chilli futures for April 2013 contract was trading at Rs. 6,140 per quintal, up by 0.59 per cent, after opening at Rs. 6,150 against the previous closing price of Rs. 6,104. It touched the intra-day high of Rs. 6,210 till the trading.
