- Cardamom gained on good demand amid supply squeeze at auctions held in Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
- At the auction held by the Cardamom Planters Association in Bodinayakannur, total arrival stood at around 6 tonnes, of which 5 tonnes were traded.
- Farmers who were holding cardamom pushed their produce into the market and that in turn pulled the prices down sharply.
- Cardamom prices in spot market gained by 7.80 rupees and settled at 1264.40 rupees.
