Maize trading range for the day is 1221-1239.
Maize gained tracking firmness in spot demand and overseas prices amid concerns over South American weather.
Brazil decided to eliminate an import tax on corn shipments from countries outside the Mercosur trade bloc to facilitate imports.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture earlier said exporters sold 241,516 tonnes of U.S. corn to unknown destinations.
In Nizamabad maize prices gained 2.5 rupee to end at 1447.5 rupees per 100 kg.
