Turmeric prices dropped due to arrival of inferior quality turmeric from the producing regions.
New season crop has hit the markets but majority of arrivals are for medium quality turmeric.
Only medium and poor quality turmeric was arrived for sale, so the price of the finger variety decreased by Rs. 500 a quintal.
In Nizamabad, a major spot market in AP, the price ended at 8755.25 rupees gained 5.25 rupees.
