Cardamom prices gained on short covering after prices dropped amid muted demand in the spot market.
A bumper crop this year has filled the inventories in the consuming centres throughout the country and as a result no buyers were seen active.
Arrivals continued to stay on the higher side, while the demand has shrunk, sources said.
