Turmeric prices gained as support seen due to expectations of lower production current year.
Prices also seen supported on expectation of good demand both from stockists and exporters.
Deficient rainfall in during early part of sowing in major turmeric growing regions of Maharashtra and Karnataka reduced the yield.
In Nizamabad, a major spot market in AP, the price ended at 9584.1 rupees gained 82.9 rupees.
