Ref soyoil prices ended with gains on short covering after prices dropped earlier on over supply following higher imports data.
India's soyoil imports surged four fold high to 490,718 tons in December compared to 97,027 tons for the same period a year ago.
The import of vegetable oils stood at 14.18 lakh tonnes (LT) on account of sharp jump in shipments of RBD palmolein, owing to low global prices.
