Soyabean prices gained on short covering after prices dropped earlier on weak export demand for Unites States soybean and for Indian soymeal.
Old-crop soymeal sales in the week ending August 27 were a net negative 13,900 tons, down from 56,100 the previous week.
Meanwhile, Oil World estimates in Oct-Sept 2014-15 China to import a record 76.3 million tons of soybeans.
At the Indore spot market in top producer MP, soybean gained 10 rupee to 3437 rupee per 100 kgs.
