The sowing of turmeric have picked up in June and July as rains in growing areas in Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu keep possibilities of improved sowing.
Total production in the range of 50-52 lakh bags in the current year, down 20 lakh bags versus last year in the same period.
In Nizamabad, a major spot market in AP, the price ended at 7458.3 rupees gained 23.65 rupees.
