Maize settled flat as a further fall is expected with arrival of the new crop.
Govt has revised down production estimate for kharif maize from 16.46 to 16.25 million tonne in the 3rd adv estimate.
The govt. target for kharif and rabi season has been set at 17 and 6 million tonne respectively.
In Nizamabad maize prices dropped -2.5 rupee to end at 1286.5 rupees per 100 kg.
