Turmeric Apr. futures closed 0.26 % higher on Thursday on good domestic festival demand at current prices. There is expectation of good demand from upcountry buyers as supplies for the good quality turmeric reducing. There is news on crop damage from the Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.
Demand for the commodity has been increasing rapidly from the medicinal and cosmetic industry. For 2014/15 season, there are concerns over crop loss due to cyclone ‘Hudhud’ that hit Andhra Pradesh in Oct 2014.
Outlook
