potato prices rose on Wednesday at the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) as the traders enlarged their holdings on account of a surge in the demand for the commodity in the market. Potato futures for May 2013 contract, at MCX, were trading at Rs 990 per 100 kg, up by 0.56 per cent after opening at Rs. 992 against the previous closing price of Rs. 984.50. GET FREE
