Chilli prices ended higher by 0.49 per cent on Tuesday at the National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) as a result of a rise in the export demand for the commodity in the midst of limited supply. At the NCDEX, chilli futures for April 2013 contract closed at Rs. 6,214 per quintal, up by 0.49 per cent, after opening at Rs. 6,224 against the previous closing price of Rs. 6,184. It touched the intra-day high of Rs. 6,240.
