Mentha oil futures, on Monday, retreated from around one-week high of 1451 levels in the domestic market due to profit booking by speculators at existing higher price levels amid weakening in the spot demand from the pharmaceutical industries. At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), mentha oil futures for December contract fell as much as 2.91 per cent to Rs. 1,381.20 per kg. At MCX, mentha oil futures for December 2012 contract on Monday closed at Rs. 1,390.40 per kg, down by 2.26 per cent, after opening at Rs. 1,446 against the previous closing of Rs. 1,422.60. It touched the intra-day low of Rs. 1,381.20
