Turmeric Futures traded on a bearish note yesterday and hit the 4% lower circuit breaker on lack of fresh bulk orders. The orders from North India have also dried up There are reports of some crop damage in Erode region.. Buyers are looking for turmeric with higher curcumin level at 5% which is unavailable, thereby supporting prices in the spot markets. Expectations are that production may be lower by 40-50%. Production is expected around 55 lakh bags. I
